Naming Your
Cat
T.S. Eliot wrote in Old Possum's
Book of Practical Cats: “The
naming of cats is a difficult matter; it isn’t just one of your holiday games. At
first you may think I’m as mad as a hatter, when I tell you a cat must have THREE
DIFFERENT NAMES”.I was fortunate to have many cats in my life while I was growing up. They include Tiddy Bom Boms; the name suited her personality and that of the person who named her. Tiddy as she was also known was the cat that began my fascination with more unusual cat names. Sample of names and categories below from the cat name database - inspired by Feng Shui and Chocolate - that would make purrfectly lovely names for cats. Feng Shui Cats Why not give your cat a name inspired by the ancient art of Feng Shui? Harmony - meaning - pleasing combination of elements in a whole: colour harmony; the order of the universe Bamboo - bamboo wind chimes are excellent to help you circulate the Chi energies around your home - symbolism, perseverance and good luck Crystal - crystals fill a home with positive energy, they can be used all around the house to deflect negative energies, hang in a window to encourage positive chi as they fill your home with rainbows.
