My Cat Goes Potty For Catnip
Putting her best paw forward my cat Bobbie Blossom pushed open the cat flap and walked into
the leafy garden because she wanted to check that neighbouring tabby cat, Mister
Mikey (name has been changed to protect his identity) was not making himself at
home on her patch of earth again. Warm currents of air caressed her fur. She noticed
the big terracotta pot of catnip by the wooden gate. The green leaves and blue flowers
of the catnip herb exuded its musky, alluring aroma, wafting its way under her twitching
nose...
She felt a shiver of excitement as she sauntered up the winding path that leads
to the old green shed at the top of the garden. Will Mister Mikey be there? As
she approached the shed there was no sign of him. Bobbie looked under the laurel
hedge and round the hawthorn tree but he was nowhere to be seen...
Relieved, she headed back down the path towards her favourite flowerpot containing
paw crushed catmint. She knows that the spreading, low growing catnip provides a
delightfully fragrant comfy cushion to sit on. And she loves to have the slightly
elevated planter on which to soak up the sun, (a cat loves sunbathing you know)
and to keep an eye on what’s going on.
